Sleep Apnea (OSA: Obstructive Sleep Apnea), a problem affecting 5% of adults, is a condition which causes interruptions in breathing during sleep. It is a potentially serious sleep disorder in which breathing repeatedly stops and starts during sleep as the throat muscles intermittently relax and block the airway. In addition to extreme fatigue, Sleep Apnea has been shown to cause high blood pressure and lead to strokes and heart disease.

In addition to becoming the industry leader in providing headgear for the fast growing sleep apnea market, AccuMED has developed significant inroads in orthopedic soft goods with the only breathable, antimicrobial soft braces on the market. We also do customized straps and ties for monitoring equipment, catheters, trach tubes, and many others. Outside of the medical area, AccuMED provides breathable padding for major sporting goods brands such as Under Armour and Riddell. And, we are extremely proud of our contributions to the safety and protection of the US Military, as well as the protection of our police and fire fighting personnel.
